Flowers as creative practice
Join us at Flower School
Lost Field Studio
Welcome to Flower School.
Our workshops are rooted in the fields, forests, and gardens of our working farm. We work with cultivated flowers, foraged materials, wild textures, and the shifting palettes of the seasons, encouraging new ways of engaging with the landscape around us.
Whether you’re brand new to arranging or have spent years with flowers, our workshops offer a place to play and experiment, build confidence, and spend hands-on time in the garden.

Ways to learn & create
Flower School includes hands-on workshops shaped by the season and what’s growing on the farm — from relaxed field sessions in summer to more focused seasonal classes.
In-the-Field Workshops
Hands-on sessions held in the garden during the growing season. Each class begins with harvesting what’s blooming, followed by guided time to create.
Studio Workshops
Seasonal workshops shaped by the rhythm of the year — from early spring planters to autumn arrangements and seasonal table pieces, using materials grown on the farm and sourced locally.
Gatherings + Groups
A private workshop is a lovely way to gather friends, celebrate an occasion, or enjoy a creative afternoon on the farm. We host small groups for bridal gatherings, team days, or simply because it’s fun to make flowers together.
Our path to flowers wasn’t linear, but it has always been rooted in learning. Early farm apprenticeships shaped how we see the world: paying attention to the seasons, working with our hands, and letting materials guide the process.
Over the years, growing and designing on the farm has given us a way of working that’s simple and intuitive. We teach from that place — sharing what we’ve learned, and giving you space to explore your own approach.
Story
We hope you leave feeling more connected, more confident, and inspired by what the seasons offer.
-
People come to the farm with all kinds of experience — some have never arranged flowers before, others have been creating for years. Our workshops are designed to meet you where you are. We offer gentle guidance, practical tips, and plenty of space to explore at your own pace.
-
We explore form, colour and texture in the garden and how they contribute to unique arrangements in the vase. We’ll help you see potential everywhere, from weedy seed heads to hanging fruit. Every student has the opportunity to harvest and forage, following your own eye and developing your confidence to try new things.
-
Workshops are a chance to slow down, try new things, and enjoy the act of making. We keep the atmosphere relaxed and supportive so you can experiment, follow your curiosity, and discover new ways of working with flowers.

Molly and Zack teach you to find beauty in unexpected places. I couldn't believe they let us walk through their flower fields armed with a bucket and shears, free to pick anything we wanted— it surprises me how much more confident I feel arranging blooms in my own home.
