Lost Field Studio
cultivated + wild florals
Farm-grown design, artfully arranged and deeply connected to place.
Lost Field Studio is our farm-based floral studio. We create flowers for weddings and events here at the farm, and for celebrations on Salt Spring Island and beyond.
We grow and forage flowers from our fields and the wider island, creating work that feels natural and deeply connected to place. Every design begins with listening — to our clients, to the landscape, and to the flowers themselves. If you’re planning a wedding or gathering, we’d love to create something beautiful for you.
Choose between two paths: full-service floral design for weddings and events, or à la carte arrangements for intimate gatherings and pick-up.
Work with us
Full-service floral design
We take on a limited number of full-service weddings and events each year, offering design that includes large-scale installations, on-site setup, and close creative collaboration.
A la carte orders for pickup or delivery
A flexible option for weddings and gatherings using our farm-grown flowers. You choose the pieces you need, and we design each one in our studio with what’s in season.
Who we are
Lost Field Studio is a collaboration between Molly Wilson and Zack Hemstreet, working from the gardens of our family farm on Salt Spring Island.
Together, we design both the garden and the arrangements it gives us — a continual conversation between the garden, the season, and the vision you share with us.
Molly leads client experience and the creative direction of each event, translating the feeling of a season into personal flowers and thoughtful compositions. Zack brings structure and vision to the landscape itself, growing the flowers and building the custom pieces that make ambitious installations possible.
Lost Field Studio lives inside our working farm, so everything we make is shaped by what’s growing — garden-led, textural, and quietly wild.

Kind words and features
The displays were nothing short of stunning. Even long after the event, the blooms stayed vibrant, a testament to the care and attention to detail that went into selecting them.
Steven + Carolyn
We have been to a LOT of weddings and have never seen anything quite like Molly & Zack's creations. They are true works of art (especially the installations!).
Melissa + Rob
I loved the attention to detail, the mixture of tones and textures. Everything turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined - I almost cried when I saw the bouquets.

As seen in:
We first grew flowers on a tiny little farm in Indianola, Washington, where we were tasked with harvesting Bachelor’s buttons, yarrow, dahlias, and statice for market bouquets. Our first arrangements were shaky hand-tied bouquets, made alongside other nervous apprentices. But we fell in love. Since then we’ve made many thousands of bouquets and spent more than 10 years doing event florals.
We’re always trying new things and looking for those one-of-a-kind blooms that take your breath away. The best part of our work is bringing that feeling to clients, for events large and small.
Story
Every flower we grow is chosen for its unique qualities — a rare colour, ephemeral fragrance, or lasting vase life. We design with a sense of place, supplementing our flowers with foraged wild elements.
Our work highlights colour, texture, and natural form, drawing inspiration from both the garden and the wild. We favour arrangements that feel alive and unforced, with movement and space for each stem to be seen.
Emphasis
All of our farm flowers are grown organically and designed naturally, without floral foam or additives. When needed, we source responsibly from other local farms and gardens.
The floral branch of the farm is part of a living system. We leave seed heads for birds, welcome pollinators to heirloom varieties, and watch our team take joy in each new bloom. Flower work carries so much meaning and depth, and we’re grateful for the connections and moments it brings.
