Planning + details
A few of the questions we’re most often asked as couples begin planning their wedding on the farm.
What’s included in your wedding packages?
We bring together everything you need to host your wedding here — the venue, seasonal florals, and a team that knows the farm by heart.
Our Hosted and Curated wedding weekends include planning support, full access to our Farm Collection (tables, linens, glassware, décor), and floral design created on-site through Lost Field Studio. Venue Package weddings include the space itself, with flexibility to work alongside your planner.
What does a wedding weekend look like?
All weddings take place over a full weekend, with access from Friday through Sunday.
Friday is a relaxed time for rehearsal and setup, Saturday is your wedding day, and Sunday morning allows for a gentle close — teardown, brunch, and departure. The pace is unhurried and allows the celebration to unfold naturally over time.
How many guests can you accommodate?
We host weddings of up to 140 guests, with space to shape the experience around both larger gatherings and more intimate celebrations.
Do you offer planning support?
For Hosted and Curated weddings, planning and coordination are included. We guide the process, communicate with vendors, and ensure everything flows smoothly.
For Venue Package weddings, a professional planner is required to support your day.
Are florals included?
Yes. Floral design is created on the farm through Lost Field Studio and is included in all of our wedding offerings.
The scale of florals varies by package, but always reflects the season and what’s growing here.
Can we choose our own vendors?
Most couples work with our trusted Culinary Partners, though you’re welcome to propose a caterer you love for approval.
After booking, we share a curated list of photographers, planners, and other vendors whose work aligns beautifully with the farm.
What happens if it rains?
The barn and tent provide full coverage for ceremony, cocktails, and dinner.
We plan layouts that can shift easily with the weather, so the day continues to feel grounded and natural regardless of conditions.
Where do guests stay?
There is no on-site accommodation, but Salt Spring Island offers a wide range of nearby places to stay. We’re happy to share recommendations, and encourage early booking during the summer season.
Do we need a wedding planner?
For Venue Package weddings, yes — a professional planner is required.
For Hosted and Curated weddings, planning is included, though some couples choose to bring in a planner for additional design or multi-day support.
What time does the celebration end?
Amplified music ends at 11pm, in keeping with the quiet rhythm of the farm.
From there, the evening shifts naturally. Some couples choose to wind down more quietly on the farm, while others continue into town. We’ve created a seamless late-night option with a nearby venue, and can help coordinate the transition so the celebration carries on effortlessly.
