Lost Field Flower School

Flowers as creative practice

Seasonal workshops on our working flower farm

Our workshops take place across the fields, forests, and gardens of our working heritage farm. We work with cultivated flowers, foraged materials, wild textures, and the shifting palettes of the seasons.

Whether you're brand new to arranging or have worked with flowers for years, these sessions offer a place to experiment, build confidence, and spend time creating directly with the landscape around us.

Our workshops are designed for all levels. We keep the atmosphere relaxed and supportive so you can experiment, follow your curiosity, and discover new ways of working with flowers.

We’ll help you see potential everywhere, from weedy seed heads to hanging fruit. Every student has the opportunity to harvest and forage, following your own eye and developing your confidence to try new things.

We hope you leave feeling more connected, more confident, and inspired by what the seasons offer.

MAY

The earliest and lushest flowers of the season — tulips, ranunculus, narcissus, and peonies.

JUNE

A first taste of summer—cosmos, calendula, forget-me-nots, stock, and the drama of peonies and early dahlias.

JULY

The garden at full tilt—lush, rolling blooms in peak abundance. Delicate stems of foxglove, cosmos, and poppies bloom beside explosions of dahlias, sunflowers, and zinnias.

AUGUST

Harvest season—saturated colours, fruiting tomato vines, blackberry branches, and a riot of dahlias, snapdragons, zinnias, celosia.

SEPTEMBER

A golden finale to the season—deep-hued dahlias, rudbeckia, sunflowers, seedpods, grasses, and lavender anemones.

Molly and Zack teach you to find beauty in unexpected places. I couldn't believe they let us walk through their flower fields armed with a bucket and shears, free to pick anything we wanted— it surprises me how much more confident I feel arranging blooms in my own home.
