Spring Planting & Early Crops

The Flower Gardener’s Series

Spring is when the cutting garden truly begins to take shape. In this class we’ll focus on seeding and planting hardy annuals and biennial crops that set the foundation for the season ahead.

We’ll walk through the propagation house and garden together, looking closely at seeding and planting techniques. We’ll cover succession strategies that help flowers keep producing through the summer. You’ll learn how to establish strong plants early in the season and how small adjustments in planting timing can make a big difference later on.

We’ll also discuss some of the most reliable flowers for cutting gardens in our climate and how to combine them for a steady supply of stems.

This session includes time working directly in the garden and observing what’s growing on the farm. A great opportunity to bring all your garden-related questions as the season gets started.
