All of our produce goes to our CSA families. We love opening the farm to them every week.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.

Members buy a share of the farm’s harvest at the beginning of the season, helping farmers with early season costs like seeds, tools, and compost. In exchange, CSA members receive produce or flowers all season (plus lots of love from their farmers!).

Part of the idea of CSA is that members share in both the rewards AND the risks of farming - some seasons are very bountiful, other years there are disappointments. We may lose our tomatoes to disease, or have rabbits mow down our peas. It doesn’t happen often, but the CSA model is designed to help farms shoulder losses. And, of course, you’ll share our successes, too - extra beans for canning, or all the cucumbers you can eat!

It makes our work meaningful to know exactly who we’re growing for—who will be excited to see radicchio, and how many people will leave fennel in the swap box. We hope it deepens your connection to the way you cook, eat, and live on the island.

Produce CSA

Tuesdays or Fridays, 20-week season

WHAT’S IN A SHARE?

Each week’s share includes 6-8 different items. We focus on well-loved staples like carrots, tomatoes, and lettuce, but now and then you’ll see something less familiar - that’s part of what makes CSA fun! We send a weekly newsletter containing recipes and preparation tips, so you’ll never be stuck with something you don’t know how to use.

SEASON LENGTH

Our CSA begins in early June and runs through October (approximately 20 weeks). The exact start dates depend on weather and other factors—we’ll confirm the first pickup date at least one week in advance.

CSA PICKUP

Pickups are at the farm on either Tuesday or Friday afternoons between 2 and 6 pm (you need to choose one day for the full season). You are welcome to come anytime during that window to pick up your food and enjoy the farm. Any produce not picked up will be put in our cooler and can be picked up any time the following day.

We do a market-style pickup, meaning that you get to select the items from each week’s share from a display. We often include choices (choose beets OR carrots) and you also have the option to trade out things you really don’t like in a swap box (leave something and take something else). CSA Members get access to the farm and lake for swimming, picnics, animal visits and exploration on their CSA Day. Great for kids!

VACATION TIME

You are welcome to send a friend to pick up your produce for you or pick it up from our cooler the following day. Alternatively, we can credit the value of up to two missed weeks for pickup at a different time.

FLOWERS

Add on to your Produce CSA with seasonal flower bouquets for the full farm experience, ready for pickup at the same time as your CSA. Head over to our online flower shop to purchase farm fresh bouquets on a weekly basis.

COST

Our 2023 CSA shares are $800. Over the course of the season, you’ll receive 10-15% more produce than the price of the share.
